W2K8 R2 Core Services – Disabling The ISATAP Tunnel Adapter

This article explains how to disable the ISATAP Tunnel Adapter on a Windows 2008 R2 Core Services Server.

The ISATAP (Internet/Site Automatic Tunnel Addressing Protocol) Tunnel Adapter is used to connect IPv6 hosts and routers over IPv4 networks and can be disabled if you are not using IPv6 in your network.

To disable the ISATAP Tunnel Adapter perform the following step :-

  • At the command prompt execute the following :-

netsh interface isa set state disabled
